I own the german version as well and I changed my origin clients language to english US but when I try to start BFH it states that the account I'm playing on doesn't have access to the language files that are currently installed. The german dub is terrible and the german version of on screen text is terrible too. I just want to play this game in english just like I did with BF3 and BF4. This problem is ruining this game for me and I don't even want to play it anymore now.
The russian or polish version of Battlefield 4 is fully region free, however Origin only downloads the russian language packs by default. In order to make the game function in english, it's necessary to manually download the english language pack. CJS CD Keys has taken care to carefully create an easy-to-follow tutorial that describes the steps required to make your russian copy of the game function in English.
Battlefield Hardline English Language Files
Once you've activated the code, press 'install' or 'preload'. Origin will prompt you to select a language. At this point, only russian will be available. Don't worry! Just press 'Accept' to start downloading the game. We'll install the english language pack a little later.
Now, we need to simply change your game configuration, to tell it to play in English. Currently, your game is configured to start in Russian. We need to tell your game to look at the English language files. You can do this in 2 minutes:
Simply double click the Registry Fix to confirm the changes. It will modify the battlefield 4 settings key (in the windows registry), so that it points to the English language files that you just installed.
1. get vpn2. exit origin3. move your bf4 somewhere else4. use USA proxy in vpn5. login to origin6. start downloading bf4 and pause once it start downloading7. exit origin again8. move your backed up version back to where you have it installed9. start origin again and resume download (it should just verify the already done installation and download 930mb of english localization files).10. pause the download once it starts and disconnect the vpn so you can get your usual downloading speed, resume the download.
